Paul Cook

Chief Executive

Paul Cook took on the role of Chief Executive of The Road Victims Trust in January 2024. Previously, Paul served 30 years as a Police Officer with Bedfordshire Police, retiring at the rank of Detective Chief Inspector. He spent a further five years with Bedfordshire Police in a child safeguarding role. During his police service, he worked throughout Bedfordshire and his past experiences include Roads Policing and Collision Investigation, Child Abuse Investigations, Domestic Abuse and more widely, working with key partners to protect the most vulnerable. He has been passionate about ensuring the needs of victims and their families are of paramount importance. Paul is married to Erika and they live in Bedfordshire.

Michelle White

Clinical Service Administrator

Michelle joined the organisation in April 2024 as an Administrator to the Clinical Service team, having previously worked as a Coordinator for RVT she was keen to come back and get involved in a new role. Michelle’s working days are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday where she deals with various duties regarding referrals.

Sarika Shah

Business Administrator

Sarika joined RVT in August 2023 as an Administrator, whilst also working for various charitable organisations such as Project 229 and Autism Bedfordshire. Her strengths and experience lie in triage, community support and engagement and events management. Sarika’s working days are Monday, Wednesday and Friday where she handles various office duties from answering phones, processing invoices, disclosure checks, as well as enjoying managing the website and being involved with graphic and digital design. Sarika is very passionate about doing good in the community and helping people in any way that she can. She is glad to involve the invaluable work RVT does within this, alongside the other charities she works for.

Amy Barrett

Community & Events Fundraiser

Amy joined RVT in May 2024 as a Administrator, after working for HMPPS for 10 years. In 2025 Amy took on the role of Community and Events Fundraiser and now manages community and event fundraising activities, focussing on supporter recruitment and local partnerships. Amy is a poet and her first poem was published in 2006 which centred around drink driving awareness. She was also longlisted in the Bedford International Poetry Competition 2025.

Josie Perrin

Business Administrator

Josie joined RVT in May 2026 as an Administrator, bringing with her a wealth of experience across both the private and public sectors. She began her career with BT, where she spent 16 years in a variety of roles. In 2008, Josie transitioned to Bedfordshire Police, taking on a civilian role that broadened her expertise further. During her time with the police, Josie managed sensitive disclosures, including family court requests, and worked closely with Safeguarding and Major Crime teams across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire. This experience has given her a strong foundation in handling confidential information with care and professionalism. Now in a new and very different role at RVT, Josie is committed to supporting the team and making a positive impact in her work. She currently works Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Mathilda Wellbelove

Corporate Partnerships & Engagement Officer

Mathilda joined the RVT as Corporate Partnerships and Engagement Officer in 2026, bringing with her 13 years of experience in the property industry and a strong background in sales and relationship building. Mathilda has a personal connection to RVT, having lost a family member in a road traffic collision in 2012. Since then, her family has maintained close ties with the charity, including supporting fundraising activities. This connection has given Mathilda a deep appreciation of the vital support RVT provides to individuals and families affected by road death. She is passionate about building meaningful partnerships with businesses and the wider community to raise awareness of the charity, generate vital funding and help ensure that more people can access the support they need. For Mathilda, this role is particularly significant, allowing her to combine her professional experience with a personal commitment to a cause close to her heart.

Sarah Fredrickson

Clinical Services Lead

Sarah has been with The Road Victims Trust since 2010 when she joined as a Counselling Volunteer. She became a Coordinator in 2013 after qualifying as a Counsellor in 2012. She is now a qualified Clinical Supervisor for the Trust and also trains new Counselling Volunteers. Sarah’s core training was in Humanistic Therapeutic Counselling and incorporated person-centred, gestalt and existential modalities. She has since engaged in further training in different areas of trauma and bereavement. In addition to her work with The Trust, she has a private practice and is also a tutor for an independent counselling training organisation. She has previously worked as a Listening Volunteer for Samaritans and in an agency that receives referrals from GP’s. Sarah is passionate about her work and feels privileged to have such meaningful contact with Clients, Volunteers, Colleagues, Police and others involved with The Trust.

Lucy Hancock

Lead Coordinator

Lucy began as a Counselling Volunteer with RVT in 2015 while she was training and was then appointed as a Coordinator in 2017. Since qualifying as an Integrative Counsellor Lucy has worked in private practice and in mental health alongside her volunteer work. Being an Integrative Counsellor means that Lucy’s counselling approach is Person Centred, Psychodynamic and Existential. As well as experience in bereavement and trauma work Lucy also has experience working in addictions and mental health. Lucy is also a Clinical Supervisor for the trust and delivers training to new volunteers.

Janet Cantor

Lead Coordinator

Janet started her work with RVT as a Counselling Volunteer in 2011. She trained in bereavement and trauma and joined the Coordinator team in 2019 after qualifying as an Integrative Counsellor. The focus of Janet’s training is in Person Centred, Psychodynamic and Existential approaches. Janet is also a Clinical Supervisor for the trust and delivers training to new volunteers.

Donna Weightman

Senior Coordinator

Donna started as a volunteer for RVT in 2013 whilst training to become a counsellor, before qualifying in 2015 as an integrative counsellor. She has worked in mental health and with those who have learning disabilities, as a school counsellor alongside her volunteer work. As an integrative counsellor, her counselling approach is Person-Centred Psychodynamic and Transactional Analysis. Donna has experience in bereavement, trauma work and addictions. She also has experience working with children and young people, as well as neurodivergent adults and children. She is also a clinical supervisor for the trust.

Stefanie Anyadi

Coordinator

Stefanie started her work with RVT as a Counselling Volunteer in 2025 and
joined the team as a Coordinator in 2026. Stefanie’s training is in person-centred counselling, and is due to be completed in the summer of 2026. She has
experience in supporting clients with bereavement and trauma, those experiencing life transitions and working with young adults.

Amy Hall

Coordinator

Amy started as a volunteer for RVT in 2025 and qualified as an Integrative Counsellor in 2026, when she joined our team as a coordinator. She has experience as a school counsellor with young people alongside this role. As an integrative counsellor, her counselling approach has a person-centred base, with psychodynamic, transactional analysis and somatic layers. Amy has experience in bereavement, trauma work and young people navigating their life. She is passionate about her work and feels privileged to have meaningful connections in this role.
