Maia Bellanti is running in memory of her father Jim who she lost to a motorcycle collision in 2014. Maia says she does not know of any other charities like RVT who can help with an experience like this and the impacts it has on individuals. Her aim is to raise as much money as possible to support a smaller charity and help other families like hers to have accessible support after traumatic life events like these. She feels that running for RVT feels ‘even more personal’ because we offer services specifically in her area and she would like to fundraise for a service that helps her local community.

Maia will be running the Brighton Marathon 2025 on the 6 April 2025 and has just set up a fundraising page. She has set her goal at £1000 which she knows will help us to support a family for a whole year.
